The Mac app

Reads dives straight off your dive computer — over Bluetooth, USB or its cable — and puts them in your freediving.studio logbook. No exporting files one at a time, no vendor software in between. It works with 361 models from 41 brands: Garmin, Suunto, Shearwater, Mares, Cressi, Oceanic and most computers ever made with a downloadable log.

Read-only — never writes to your watch Skips dives you've already imported Same account as the web & phone apps

How it works

Three steps, and the third one is pressing a button.

1
Sign in with the same Google or Apple account you use on freediving.studio or the phone app. That's the whole setup — no pairing codes, no API keys.
2
Press Scan. Wake the watch and turn on its Bluetooth, or plug in its cable — the app looks for everything at once and recognises what it finds. Plug a watch in while the app is open and it jumps straight to reading it.
3
Review and import. You see real dives — date, depth, duration — with anything already in your logbook unticked. Import, and they're on the website and your phone before you've put the watch back on. It's the same account.

Do you need it?

Only if you want the direct read. Every other route still works.

Get it if you have a pile of dives on the watch, a Bluetooth or cabled computer (Shearwater, Mares, Cressi, Oceanic, or an older cabled Suunto like the D4i, D6i or Zoop), or you just never want to export a file again.
Skip it if your Suunto syncs to the Suunto app — connect it once and every dive imports automatically, no Mac needed. Likewise if you're happy dropping .FIT or UDDF files onto the website or phone apps, your Garmin already imports over USB in Chrome or Edge, or your dives come from an Apple Watch Ultra — the iPhone app reads those straight from Apple Health.

On Windows?

The Windows version is in the works. Until it ships: Garmin imports over USB right in Chrome or Edge, and every watch's .FIT or UDDF files import on the website — nothing about your logbook is Mac-only.

Watch not connecting?

Some computers need a nudge — Suunto D5 into its Connect mode, Shearwater into Upload Log, Garmin's USB mode set to MTP. The app's How it works tab walks through each one, and its Send us the log button shares a connection log with us (only when you press it — never dives, never passwords) so we can help.

The app is signed and notarised by Apple for Pixelated Limited and updates itself. Device support comes from the open-source libdivecomputer project plus our own Garmin support. Garmin, Suunto, Shearwater and all other brand names are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to indicate compatibility — freediving.studio is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
